Protection of Openings

Under the Building Code of Australia, BCA C4D3 requires openings within a fire rated external wall to be protected if they are located within 3 m of side/rear boundaries. 

We have developed a spreadsheet to help architects check if an opening requires protection based on its orientation and distance from boundary. 

(TIP: Adding a small nib wall may eliminate the need for any protection)
